Yes. Export your list from either app as a CSV file, then in the book tap + and choose Import a List. The book recognises both apps’ columns, matches wines you already have rather than duplicating them, and is free to use as often as you like. Vivino sends its export as a .zip, so you will need unzip using the Files app first. Visit the How To for detailed instructions.

Subscriptions are handled through Apple. On your Apple device, open Settings, tap your name at the top, then Subscriptions, and choose The Butler’s Book. The app has a shortcut to the same screen at Settings › Subscription › Manage Subscription.
Cancelling stops the next payment and leaves Full Service running until the period you have paid for ends.
-
Nothing in your collection is hidden or deleted if you decide to cancel Full Service. Scanning will return to whatever you have left of your free allowance, and if you keep more than one collection, the oldest stays fully usable while the other collections become read-only.
-
Go to Settings › your collection › Sharing & Data › Export as Spreadsheet. Your collection is exported as a CSV file with one row per wine, along with every field that’s been logged for it, so it can be opened in Excel or other tracking apps.
-
Your collection lives in your iCloud, so signing in to the same Apple Account on the new phone will allow The Butler’s Book to find it automatically. You will see the status “Looking in iCloud for your book…” while the data is downloaded. If the book stays empty, check that The Butler’s Book is turned on in your iCloud settings.

Some labels are more art than informational and can be hard even for a human to read.
In this case, the book will say it could not read the label and offer to let you enter the wine by hand, keeping the photograph you took. A failed reading is never counted against your scans. Photographing the front label square on, in whatever light you have, gets most scans completed accurately.

Asking Siri for a particular wine out loud is unreliable at the moment. Siri does not reliably hand a spoken wine name to the app, which is in Apple’s hands rather than ours. Everything works through the Shortcuts app, so in the meantime, you can setup custom shortcuts that you can use to query Siri. We would rather say this up front so you’ll know why it works sometimes and other times it doesn’t.
We will continue to monitor Siri’s updates in the future so we can get this feature working like we hoped.
